Frequently asked questions

Where are your products manufactured?

All Grandy Organics products are proudly made in small batches at our solar-powered bakery in Hiram, Maine.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we only ship to the contiguous United States. Please feel free to reach out to customerservice@grandyorganics.com with any questions regarding shipping.

I am interested in carrying your products. Is wholesale available?

Yes! We would love to hear more about your store. Please feel free to reach out to wholesale@grandyorganics.com so our sales team can help you out!

Are your products certified Organic?

Yes! Everything Grandy Organics makes is certified organic! Our products are certified organic by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. Certification ensures that the land used to cultivate the ingredients made for our products has no chemical fertilizers, no pesticides, and no genetically modified seeds. Organic farming has been shown to improve soil and plant health, wildlife habitats, and biodiversity. We believe that
organic foods are better for you, your health, and the planet.

Are Your Products Non-GMO?

Yes, our products are non-GMO. None of our products contain any genetically modified organisms. We care deeply about our supply chain, and source the most wholesome ingredients from organic and non-GMO producers and farms.

Is Grandy Organics Kosher?

Most Grandy Organics products are OU certified Kosher. Be sure to check product pages before ordering.

How do you ensure your Gluten-Free products are gluten-free?

We treat gluten, critically, like an allergen. We always run production sequencing, meaning we run anything that is Gluten Free first thing in the morning. Whenever possible, we dedicate entire days of production to Gluten Free products.

We, of course, clean all equipment thoroughly and daily and any gluten-containing products are segregated in our warehouse. Lastly, and importantly: QA tests our gluten free products and every single lot of oats we receive.

Are your ingredients Fair-Trade certified?

While not every product we make at Grandy Organics uses Fair-Trade certified ingredients, the MAJORITY DO. We pride in sourcing not only the highest quality ingredients but also, ingredients that protect our planet and protect our people. We are big believers in Fair-Trade and are always on the lookout for ways to incorporate Fair-Trade ingredients into our
products.

How are allergens handled?

Our state-of-the-art food product facility has high health and food safety standards. Our team continuously cleans and checks surfaces for allergens throughout the day and sequences the products we produce to avoid allergen cross contamination.

What are your products sweetened with?

We love to tap into nature's sweetness! Our products are sweetened with either organic wildflower honey, pure organic maple syrup or organic coconut nectar! Our newer granolas (Dark Chocolate Sea Salt and Apple Crisp) are sweetened with a touch of Fair-Trade brown sugar.

How do you source your ingredients?

We support organic farmers, locally and globally. Ingredients that we source from outside of North America aren’t currently available in the quantity and/or quality that we require from within the continent. Grandy Organics only buys ingredients from suppliers who meet the strict quality control standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Organic Program (NOP) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We source with care. We know that sourcing with care protects our planet, our people and delivers the highest quality, most delicious products on the market.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Our current packaging is not recyclable, however it is something we are working hard on finding a solution to. We do recommend reusing or repurposing the bags, they are great ziplock bags for bulk purchases, pantry staples, or sandwich bags! Don’t forget you can also find Grandy Organics Coconolas, granolas trails and Fair-Trade cashews in bulk bins across the country.

How should I store my Grandy Organics products?

Our products have a shelf life of 12 months when stored in a cool dry place. Some best practices for extending shelf life are keeping the zippers sealed or moving your products to a bulk resealable container. We have also found that storing our Coconola in your freezer can keep the coconut flakes extra crunchy and can make for a great topper on smoothies or bowls…. Or as quick snack!

What is Prop 65 and why does your Antioxidant Trail Mix have a warning?

Proposition 65 is a law in the state of California that requires businesses to provide warnings to consumers about the presence of chemicals that can cause cancer, birth
defects, or other reproductive harm. Our organically grown ingredients contain trace
amounts of minerals and chemicals that naturally occur in the soil they are grown in. The FDA monitors lead and other chemical levels in food and has determined that the tiny trace amounts in our ingredients are not dangerous to consume.
